Introduction
H type silica alumina gel also known as silica alumina oxide gel H or silica gel H, is an amorphous porous adsorbent material with silica gel as the matrix and an appropriate amount of alumina introduced for modification. This material significantly outperforms ordinary silica gel in terms of pore structure, surface acidity, water resistance, and thermal stability.
The pore size of silica alumina gel H lies between that of type A (fine-pore silica gel) and type C (coarse-pore silica gel), belonging to the hybrid-pore composite silica gel. It features a uniform pore structure, high reactivity, large specific surface area, and stable adsorption performance, therefore it is often used as an adsorbent, desiccant, or carrier.
In industrial applications, silica gel H is mainly used in catalyst supports, hydrocarbon purification, petrochemicals, and other scenarios that require high activity and acidity. For example: TSA temperature-switching adsorption and high-temperature regeneration; natural gas purification and hydrocarbon purification; and petrochemical hydrogenation catalyst carrier and metal catalyst carrier.
