Introduction
Potassium permanganate activated alumina or KmnO4 activated alumina, is a kind of aluminum oxide impregnated with strong oxidizing potassium permanganate. The potassium permanganate content can be customized to 4%, 6%, 8%, etc. It is mainly applicated in air purification, to adsorb SO2, Cl, NX, N/NH3, H2S, NO2/NO, HCHO, C2H4 and other harmful gases.
KmnO4 activated alumina uses specific alumina as carrier to impregnate potassium permanganate, through high temperature solution compression, decompression and other production processes. The adsorption capacity of potassium permanganate alumina, is two times greater than similar products. And its high crush strength and long service life, which makes it a highly effiective pre-bed material when used with other types of desiccants or adsorbents.
Unlike conventional activated alumina, KmnO4 impregnated alumina combines the physical adsorption capacity of activated alumina with the strong oxidizing power of potassium permanganate, enabling it to efficiently remove various harmful gases and VOCs from air and process gases.
