Introduction
Activated alumina desiccant is a granular adsorption material made from high purity aluminum oxide, featuring an extremely porous structure and a tremendous surface area. It is a powerful moisture absorbent, possessing the properties of being non-toxic, odorless, non-pulverizing, and insoluble in water.
As a desiccant, activated alumina can efficiently adsorb moisture from air, natural gas, compressed gas, and various liquids, enabling the medium to meet low dew point requirements without expansion, cracking, or pulverization. It is suitable for adsorption systems that operate continuously and regenerate frequently. However, all of this is attributed to the advantages of activated alumina desiccant, such as its chemical stability, uniform size, high mechanical strength, low abrasion, deep water absorption ability, stable performance of regeneration and recycling.
Activated alumina desiccant is widely used in the dehydration and purification processes of industrial gases and liquids. The typical applications include: compressed air drying equipment, dehydration of natural gas and industrial gases, air pretreatment for oxygen and nitrogen production, drying of petrochemical and chemical process gases, and etc.
