Introduction
Titanium Silicalite-2 (TS-2) oxidation catalyst, is a second-generation titanium-silicon molecular sieve oxidation catalytic material. It differs significantly from TS-1 in structure, pore size, and reaction adaptability, mainly to solve the problems of small pore size and insufficient molecular permeability of TS-1. TS-2 molecular sieve is specifically designed for "larger-molecule" oxidation reactions.
TS-2 is also a ten-membered ring titanium-silicon molecular sieve, but it has an almost one-dimensional straight channel, unlike the "crossroads" of TS-1. Therefore, macromolecules can enter and exit more easily in TS-2 and are less likely to clog the pores.
TS-2 molecular sieve is more applicable in fine chemicals and specialty oxidation, such as epoxidation of medium and long chain olefins, oxidation of cyclic olefins, aromatic hydroxylation, synthesis of high-value-added intermediates, and precursors for pharmaceuticals, fragrances, electronic chemicals, etc.
