Carbon molecular sieves are composed mainly of carbon elements, with a narrow distribution of micropores, the pore sizes are mostly in the range of 0.3~0.5nm, and they appear as black cylindrical solids.
CMS260 utilizes its sieving properties to separate oxygen and nitrogen. Within its micropore size range, oxygen can rapidly diffuse through the micropore openings into the pores, while nitrogen has difficulty passing through the micropore openings, thus achieving the separation of oxygen and nitrogen.
