Introduction
Zeolite molecular sieve 4A is a crystalline aluminosilicate, also known as zeolite 4A. It is the sodium form of type A zeolite, with a pore size of approximately 4 angstroms (0.4 nm). Molecules with a kinetic diameter smaller than 4 angstroms will be adsorbed by type 4A molecular sieve; otherwise, be excluded.
Zeolite molecular sieve 4A will adsorb water, ammonia, methanol, ethanol, and carbon dioxide. And it can be made into beads or strips, which are widely used in air brake system dehydration, natural gas dehydration, solvent dehydration, refining and purification of certain gases or liquids, etc.
Type 4A molecular sieve, has an extremely strong adsorption capacity for polar molecules, and its static drying efficiency far exceeds that of traditional desiccants. Moreover, it can withstand temperatures up to 600℃ and needs to be stored in dry conditions to avoid moisture absorption and ineffectiveness.
